The Atkins diet. Important rules!

This is a diet that is based on reducing the consumption of carbohydrates, fats and oils. Can we really lose weight by giving up bread, potatoes, sweets while eating bacon, butter and mayonnaise? The theory says that by cutting carbohydrates from the list your body is forced to burn fat in order to produce the energy that the body needs.

The result is that we burn body fat, releasing a product called ketones that your body will use for energy. The plan is not recommended for people with severe kidney disease. Studies show that low-carb diets are as effective as traditional approaches and even can improve the level of cholesterol and triglycerides.
What can you eat and what can you not?

-no more than 20 grams of carbohydrates per day, mostly found in certain vegetables
-protein and poultry fat, fish, eggs, red meat, butter, and vegetable oils
-NO pasta, bread, cereals, fruits, vegetables, starch or milk products. Only butter, cheese and cream are allowed
-NO caffeine and alcohol
The next step when you actually lose weight is when you start to add more vegetables and include seeds, nuts, berries and other fruits, wine and other low-carb alcohols.
Once you have reached your desired weight, you can introduce some carbohydrates in your diet but only the necessary amount for the proper functioning of the body.
It seems that this diet (especially due to the ketones) changes somehow the flow of the breath.
